This water was contaminated with Salmonella, which likely spread to the cucumbers. The other grower is still under investigation, but their cucumbers have also tested positive for Salmonella. The outbreak has sickened people in 31 states and the District of Columbia. The majority of cases have been reported in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina.
